Covid-19 In-Person Worship Update

Our tentative date to open for in-person worship is Sunday, July 5th. (Worship schedule: Sundays at 8:30 AM outdoor and 10:00 AM in the sanctuary, Wednesdays at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary) We are working at getting all the supplies we need to make it as safe and welcoming as possible. We will be following recommendations given by the Department of Health, the Center for Disease Control, and government officials. If we need to make any changes, we will communicate them to you promptly. If you have any questions, please give the church office a call.

In-Person Worship Guidelines

If you are in a high-risk category or feel safer staying home and worshiping online via YouTube, we respect your decision. If you are sick, have had a fever of 100.4 or higher in the past 14 days, or have been around someone exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you please stay home and plan to join us on a later date.

  • Please stay in your cars until 15 minutes before the service you are attending begins.

  • As you enter the building, we are requiring everyone to wear a mask. We will have masks available for those who do not have one.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available for your use.

  • Weather permitting outdoor worship will be done in Pastor’s backyard to allow more room for social distancing; it is also a more level surface.

  • Once in the building, please go directly to the sanctuary and take your seat.

  • The pews will be taped off to allow for social distancing. (We apologize if this affects where you normally sit.)

  • There will be no hymnals or bibles in the sanctuary. Everything will be projected on the screen. According to the Center for Disease Control, the virus does not spread easily from touching surfaces or objects so bulletins will be available for outdoor worship for those who would like one.

  • On communion weeks, individual pre-packaged communion (wafer and juice) will be available for you to pick up as you enter the sanctuary. Communion will be taken in the pews. The pastor will consecrate the elements from the chancel area. There will be trash cans in the back for you to discard the communion packaging as you leave.

  • There will be no offering collection during the service. Offering plates will be stationed in the back of the sanctuary. We encourage people to use our giving online option on our website

  • There will be no Sunday School or nursery programs at this time. We ask that parents/guardians use their best judgment when bringing their children to worship. Kid’s message, song, and activity page will still be online and sent out via email.

  • Any high-touch surfaces, such as handrails and pews, will be sanitized between services.

  • Restrooms will be open for use and will be sanitized often.

  • Please do not congregate in or around the building following dismissal as we will be cleaning after each service to prepare for the next service.

  • There will be no coffee or snacks.

Our Food Pantry remains open on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
