What to Expect
Whether you're new to church, returning after many years, or looking for a church home, we want you to feel welcome at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Our worship services are centered on Jesus Christ and His Word. You don't have to dress up or know all the responses—just come as you are. We'd love to worship with you.
Sunday at 8:30 AM – Outdoor Worship
(Weather Permitting)
Enjoy a peaceful outdoor worship service in the fenced backyard behind the Union Road parking lot. Bring a lawn chair and gather with us as we sing traditional hymns and praise songs accompanied by keyboard, hear God's Word, pray together, and receive encouragement from a Christ-centered message.
What the service is like:
-
A relaxed outdoor setting
-
Hymns/Songs and spoken liturgy
-
A Bible-based message
-
Lasts approximately 30 minutes
Sunday at 10:00 AM - Blended Worship
Our Sunday morning service combines the richness of Lutheran tradition with a variety of music. You'll hear Scripture, sing both classic hymns with the organ and/or contemporary praise songs accompanied by the piano, join in prayer, and hear a message focused on Jesus Christ and His saving work.
What to expect:
-
A welcoming atmosphere for all ages
-
Blended music featuring hymns and praise songs
-
A Christ-centered, Bible-based message
-
Approximately 1 hour
Wednesday at 7:00 PM – Casual Worship
If you're looking for a quieter, more relaxed midweek service, Wednesday worship is a wonderful opportunity to pause, hear God's Word, and be refreshed. Dress is casual, and the service is shorter while still centered on Scripture, prayer, and Christ.
What to expect:
-
A relaxed, casual atmosphere
-
Organ and piano-led worship
-
A Bible-based message
-
Approximately 40 minutes
Holy Communion
We celebrate the Lord's Supper on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays of each month, as well as on the following Wednesdays.
If you have questions about receiving Holy Communion at St. Luke, we encourage you to visit our Our Beliefs page or speak with Pastor Phil before the service. We'd be happy to answer your questions.
What Should I Wear?
During the summer, some come in dress pants, polo shirts, and dresses/skirts; others come in jeans, shorts, and T-shirts. You'll see a variety of styles, and you'll fit right in. We want you to come and hear the Good News of Jesus.
What About My Children?
Children are always welcome in worship! We believe they are not just the future of the church; they are the church. In the summer, we offer our summer at the Movies Kids' Sunday School for 3-year-olds through 8th grade. Just ask a greeter for more info or call the church office. There is no nursery during July and August, but there is a cry room in the back for those who would like a quiet place for their younger kids.
